Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WeatherPulse collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the WeatherPulse mobile app, website, Updates feed, and community weather-report tools.
Information WeatherPulse collects
- Location information: if you allow location access, WeatherPulse can use your device location while the app is open to show local forecasts, radar, and alert targeting.
- Calendar schedule brief (optional): if you allow calendar access in the WeatherPulse mobile app, the app reads events scheduled for today and tomorrow on your device. It converts event titles and locations into general categories and times so the forecast can adapt around your plans. Raw event titles, raw locations, notes, and attendee details are not uploaded to WeatherPulse.
- Saved areas: if you save cities or locations inside WeatherPulse, those saved areas are stored so alerts and forecasts can stay relevant.
- Notification information: WeatherPulse stores your push token, device platform, notification settings, and recent notification history so alerts can be delivered to your device.
- User-submitted reports: if you submit a weather report, WeatherPulse may collect the name you provide, the report text, the location tied to the report, and any photo or video you choose to upload.
- Basic device and app information: WeatherPulse may store app version, device model, and installation identifiers needed to operate notifications and backend syncing.
